On Saturday, February 22nd, Quantum Mob family took to the streets of downtown Toronto for the Coldest Night of the Year walk.

We wore our toques with pride, met the Toronto Wolfpack’s star mascot, and learned a lot about the amazing work that our fundraising will help support.

A few months ago, we launched Quantum Kindness as part of an on-going initiative for the team at Quantum Mob to give back to our community every quarter. We collected toys for children during the holidays, and organized a highly competitive sock drive that allowed us to donate over 600 pairs of socks to those experiencing homelessness. Giving back has become a part of our culture that we are very proud of. For our most recent event, the Coldest Night of the Year was the perfect choice!

CNOY is a nationwide walk-a-thon that benefits local charities in 136 different communities. The organization closest to Quantum Mob headquarters in downtown Toronto is the St Felix Centre. We were honoured to walk for such a helpful and inspiring
place. The St Felix Centre is 100% pet friendly (we love dogs at QM, so this was great to learn!) and offers transitional housing, a 24 hour respite centre, a community meal program serving over 20 thousand meals every month, a clothing bank, among various other initiatives.

To give our support for the St Felix Centre and CNOY, we didn’t just walk 5km on a chilly evening. To stir up some friendly competition, the entire QM staff split up into 3 teams -Quantum v Ferrari, The Mobman, and Once Upon a Time in Quantum Mob (sense a theme? We’re a bunch of movie buffs!) Everyone hustled to fundraise the most - the winning team (Quantum v Ferrari, but who's keeping score?) brought in $1150! In total, the Quantum Kindness initiative fundraised over 2 grand!

Reps from each team attended that Saturday, joining over 150 others walking the walk for our local CNOY. Needless to say, Quantums are quite at home in a mob! We finished the evening back at the St Felix Centre (well… there may have been celebratory drinks after) learning even more about how they are changing lives in our city and how we can keep helping. At Quantum Mob, genuine connection is a priority in our company culture, and we are proud to be able to extend that to our neighbours in need.
